AKP Phnom Penh, October 2, 2026 -- Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of Cambodia, has extended congratulations to the National Assembly, and the friendly people of the Republic of Korea on the joyous occasion of the National Foundation Day of the Republic of Korea (ROK).

In his congratulatory message to H.E. Cho Jeong-sik, Speaker of the ROK’s National Assembly, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the remarkable development of the ROK as a global leader in industry, science, technology, innovation, and medicine has not only tremendously benefited the Korean nation, but also has contributed positively to the development of the region as a whole.

“This commendable achievement reflects the great vision and dedication of Korean leaders and their investment in human capital and good governance,” he added.

Samdech Techo also laid stress on Cambodia’s attention to the continued growth of mutually beneficial relations and remains committed to further enhancing the Strategic Partnership between the two countries for the mutual benefits of their peoples.

“As we are approaching the 30th Anniversary of the re-establishment of our diplomatic relations in 2027, I wish to reaffirm my commitment to working closely with your Excellency to further strengthen our parliamentary ties, both bilaterally and multilaterally, in the best interests of our two peoples and in support of peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region and beyond,” he said.

The Senate President concluded his message with best wishes of H.E. Cho Jeong-sik’s continued good health and success, as well as for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the Republic of Korea.
