Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet paid a visit to local people affected by flash floods in Banteay Meanchey province.

The visit reflected the Prime Minister’s high attention to the people suffering from the flash floods caused by Typhoon Surigae, as Banteay Meanchey is among 10 provinces that have been affected by flooding since Saturday last week.

The floods have affected 39 cities and districts across Kratie, Thbong Khmum, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Battambang, Pailin, Pursat, Preah Vihear, Siem Reap and Banteay Meanchey provinces.

As of Sept. 28, the flash floods have affected some 44,800 families, forcing around 3,600 families to evacuate.
