AKP Phnom Penh, September 12, 2026 --

The Indian Navy’s INS Kulish (P63), commanded by Commander Suraj Kumar Singh, safely docked at Ream Naval Base in Sangkat Ream, Kampong Som city, Preah Sihanouk province, on Saturday morning for a four-day visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from Sept. 12 to 15.

The visit aims to strengthen solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the naval forces of the two countries, as well as between the Royal Governments of Cambodia and India.

The Indian Navy vessel was warmly welcomed upon arrival by officers and personnel of Ream Naval Base, led by Rear Admiral In Sokhemara, Deputy Commander of Ream Naval Base.

On the occasion, Rear Admiral In Sokhemara warmly welcomed the Indian Navy vessel on its first docking at Ream Naval Base in Preah Sihanouk province and wished the ship’s officers and crew a safe and successful visit and stay in the coastal province.

Rear Admiral In Sokhemara said that the Cambodian side had also organised a friendly gathering featuring traditional Cambodian cuisine between the naval forces of the two countries.

During their stay and visit in Cambodia, the Indian naval delegation is scheduled to pay courtesy visits to the Governor of Preah Sihanouk province, the Commander of Ream Naval Base and several senior officials of the Ministry of National Defence.

The programme will also include friendly sports activities between the naval forces of the two countries, as well as a joint Operational Turnaround (PORT) and Passage Exercise (PASSEX).

INS Kulish is a P63-class Corvette warship. The vessel is 91.16 metres long and 10.46 metres wide, with a draft of 4.27 metres and a displacement of 1,449 tonnes.

The ship has 11 officers and 120 crew members on board and is commanded by Commander Suraj Kumar Singh.
