AKP Phnom Penh, September 10, 2026 --

The Russian Navy’s Training Ship Perekop of the Baltic Fleet will make a two-day unofficial port call at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on Sept. 11-12, 2026, according to a press release AKP received this morning.

Representatives of the Royal Cambodian Navy will welcome the ship at the pier, while H.E. Anatoly Borovik, Ambassador of Russia to Cambodia, will attend the official welcoming ceremony.

During the port call, the ship’s command is scheduled to pay protocol visits to Cambodian civil and military officials.

Russian sailors and cadets will visit tourist attractions in Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh and play a football match with their Cambodian counterparts.

Meanwhile, personnel of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, as well as teachers and students of the Russian Embassy School, will have an opportunity to tour the Russian training warship.

Following a farewell ceremony on Sept. 12, the Perekop will depart from the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.

The Russian training ship last visited Sihanoukville in November 2019.
