Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak received here on Jan. 15 H.E. Ali Akbar Nazari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Cambodia, for a courtesy call and work discussion.

The main purpose of the meeting was to strengthen tourism cooperation between Cambodia and Iran.

The meeting also touched on the promotion of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on tourism cooperation between the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism and Iran’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts.

Moreover, the two sides discussed promoting Familiarisation Trips (FAM Trips), business exchanges between private sectors in the tourism industry, and tourism associations from both countries. 
They emphasised the importance of establishing a direct flight connection between Cambodia and Iran to facilitate travel for people and tourists between the two countries.
